About the Venue

The Hummingbird Chateau is a wedding and event venue in Carroll County, Maryland just outside of Westminster. Our historic homestead was built in 1752 and features a 6000 square foot bank barn with breathtaking views of the countryside and spectacular sunsets. Keeping with the historic nature of the homestead and barn, The Hummingbird Chateau centerpieces an eclectic mix of old and new. Our venue provides multiple vignettes for indoor and outdoor ceremonies and celebrations.  We'd love to host your joyous event.

Angela and the owners made sure we had everything we needed . The wedding went off without a hitch. They make sure whatever your vision is for your wedding, you’ll have it ! I was sad it was over and we had to leave !

Angela

the dreamer of ideas

Angela’s artistic background and keen ability to listen to each and every intricate detail enables her to transform a blank canvas into every bride’s dream wedding day and create stunning florals. Every detail is tended to, to perfection and she knows how to make everyone feel well cared for. She started organizing and designing her friend’s wedding as well as her own. She knew early on that this is what she was meant to do. Seeing everyone excited, happy and having a great time together brings her great joy.

Leah

the designer and planner

Leah is passionate about and committed to helping people. She has over 35 years of experience in planning life events. In and out of her professional life, she is always finding herself in the middle of planning fun and making memories for the people around her. She specializes in personalizing events for each client with grace. Leah’s attention to detail and time management qualities are certain to ensure a flawless flow on your wedding day.

Matt

the business guy

Matt’s extensive experience with property management enables him to oversee all details of the business. At an early age working with his father, he continues in this new venture with unwavering work ethic. His knowledge in construction and business proves to be a perfect combination to assist in the daily operational aspects of the business.

Mike

the master builder

Mike has over 40 years of experience in planning and construction of many successful businesses. His ability to visualize inception to completion is unmatched. He understands the importance of family celebrations and takes extreme pride in all the details. He finds great satisfaction in knowing that he can provide family celebrations and events for generations to come.
